Our story
Rita
AMI Francophone Montessori Educator
School principal
Originally from Geneva, Rita is a certified Montessori 3-6 AMI teacher . She has gained extensive teaching experience with the DIP (Department of Public Instruction) as well as in other Montessori schools.
After beginning her career in the healthcare sector as a medical radiology technician, the arrival of her first child sparked a deep desire to refocus on what truly mattered: education. It was then that she decided to retrain and become a Montessori teacher.
For Rita, Montessori pedagogy is more than just an educational system: it represents a philosophy of life. As a teacher, she observes and guides the child towards their personal development, offering individualized learning, delivered with love and attention.
Rita is passionate, smiling, and creative. Her dedication to teaching has enabled her students to put words together and read from the age of 3, demonstrating her ability to observe and respond to the needs of her students.
Outside of her work, Rita enjoys cycling, playing badminton, and pursuing art. She is also the mother of two children.
Guided by transparency, nourished by love, inspired by Montessori pedagogy and in harmony with nature - these are the priorities and values that characterize it.

Bethani Ann

Bethani Ann is an AMI-certified Montessori educator specializing in working with children aged 3 to 6. With an undeniable passion for Montessori pedagogy, her dedication and expertise stem from a rich family heritage, as her own mother was a Montessori teacher.
Originally from the United States, Bethani Ann has channeled her international experience in Montessori education to benefit the children she teaches. A mother of six, she instinctively understands the diverse needs and specific challenges children face at this crucial stage of their development.
For several years, Bethani Ann has brilliantly developed and implemented a progressive English immersion program. Designed specifically for children aged 3 to 6, this program not only promotes language acquisition, but also, and above all, encourages the holistic development of each student.
Through the empathy that permeates her teaching method and her unwavering commitment to Montessori education, Bethani Ann has carved out an exceptional place for herself. Her positive influence extends to many young students, revealing the transformative power inherent in Montessori teaching.

Laetitia

Laetitia, a certified Montessori teacher (AMI 3-6 years), joins our teaching team with over ten years of experience in early childhood education. Her background and pedagogical vision have enabled her to develop a truly inclusive approach that takes into account the cultural diversity and individual needs of the children she works with.
Driven by a deep passion for the Montessori method, Laetitia is constantly guided by the desire to provide a stimulating yet nurturing environment for her students. She is committed to fostering their autonomy and nurturing their self-confidence, essential elements for their overall development.
In addition to her expertise in Montessori pedagogy, Laetitia stands out for her ability to build strong and lasting relationships with parents. She firmly believes that education is a collaboration between school and home. Therefore, she is committed to ensuring transparent, regular, and effective communication with families, so that each step of the child's educational journey is clearly understood and shared.

Lauriana

Lauriana is the dedicated activity leader for the after-school program at our Montessori school for 3-6 year olds. With her extensive experience, she excels in her role, brilliantly guiding the children in their activities after school hours.
At each session, Lauriana creates an environment where children feel comfortable, valued, and motivated to participate in various activities. She ensures that the moments are playful, creative, and safe, always in line with the principles of Montessori pedagogy.
Thanks to her patient and empathetic approach, Lauriana allows children to extend their educational experience beyond the traditional school day, thereby strengthening their self-confidence, autonomy and curiosity.

Lucille

I am an AMI-certified Montessori educator for children aged 3 to 6, trained at the IFMM in Paris.
My background is also enriched by a strong artistic and cultural education. I hold a National Diploma in Arts and Techniques, specializing in Spatial Design, awarded with honors, as well as a Master’s degree in Cultural Tourism.
These experiences deeply inform my pedagogical practice, allowing me to integrate creativity, aesthetic awareness, and a thoughtful approach to the environment in my work with children.
Passionate about child development, I have further expanded my training in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Art Therapy. This enables me to support children in expressing their emotions while providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
As a mother of two daughters aged 2 and 8, I am particularly sensitive to the importance of individualized support, grounded in attentive listening and respect for each child’s pace. My educational approach is based on fostering autonomy, sensory exploration, and creativity, in alignment with Montessori principles, in order to encourage self-confidence and natural curiosity.

Maxine Ann Milton is a passionate educator with a holistic vision of education, committed to supporting children in a caring, safe, and stimulating environment. Her approach is based on a comprehensive understanding of child development, fostering academic, emotional, and social learning.
Of Swiss and South African origin, Maxine benefits from a rich international background that informs her teaching practice. A graduate with distinction of a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Honours in Educational Program Design and Development, she combines academic rigor and creativity in her teaching methods.
Through her experiences, particularly as a teacher, tutor, and mentor for children, Maxine has developed a remarkable ability to adapt her teaching to the specific needs of each child. She pays particular attention to creating an engaging, inclusive, and motivating learning environment, allowing each student to progress at their own pace.
Her experience working with children of varying ages, including in multicultural contexts and with special needs, strengthens her pedagogical sensitivity and adaptability. Maxine stands out for her creativity, critical thinking, and ability to design stimulating activities that foster autonomy and self-confidence.

Miranda

Gentle, calm and positive, Miranda is a native English speaker, a graduate as an AMI Montessori educator, with several years of experience in supporting children aged 2 to 12 years.
She began her career as an English teacher in Geneva and worked in several nursery schools, where she contributed to the safety and well-being of the children while organizing creative and educational learning activities. These early experiences allowed her to better understand the specific needs of young children and to develop a caring and attentive teaching approach.
Miranda naturally inherited a passion for Montessori pedagogy, as her own mother was also an AMI Montessori educator. This passion led her to train as a Montessori guide for children aged 3 to 6. Through her various practical experiences in Montessori schools in Geneva, she deepened her understanding of Montessori principles and applied them concretely in the classroom.
Miranda stands out for its ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment, where each child is encouraged to explore, express themselves and develop their full potential.

Delya

AMI Montessori Assistant and Theatre/Music Teacher
Delya began her musical journey at the Léo Délibes Conservatory in Paris at the age of six. She participated in various singing events and concerts throughout her years of experience. Delya continued her musical studies at the Geneva Popular Conservatory, where she currently enriches her musical heritage with the art of theatre. Her diverse musical background, ranging from choir and solfège to piano and ukulele, has shaped her unique approach to teaching. As a member of the University of Geneva's musical theatre troupe, Delya developed a deep understanding of the performing arts. Delya's teaching philosophy focuses on the holistic development of her students. Proficient in piano, singing, and music theory, she brings a patient and passionate approach to her lessons.
Her goal is to instill a lasting love of music in her students, emphasizing the joy and creativity it fosters.

Ludovic

Workshop Leader for Woodworking and Theatre
Ludovic is a passionate educator, specializing in teaching theatre and introducing carpentry to curious young minds from the age of 3.
With several years of enriching experience, acquired in various community centers in Geneva, Ludovic has the unique gift of making these two areas accessible, attractive and fun for children.
In addition to his regular classes, he organizes and leads creative summer camps where theatre and crafts are combined to stimulate children's imagination and practical skills.
Ludovic is deeply convinced that every child has artistic and manual potential that it is imperative to cultivate.
By employing a playful and caring educational approach, it is committed to helping each child discover and develop their unique talents, in total harmony with the Montessori pedagogy.

Carla Kewley

English-Speaking Wednesday Club Teacher
Carla is French-American, born in Colorado. A former litigation lawyer admitted to the Paris and London bars, she also taught at the Lausanne Hotel School (EHL), where she taught students from 90 different countries in both English and French. Managing cultural differences is one of her specialties. She is certified to teach at Swiss universities of applied sciences (HES-SO) after completing a two-year pedagogical training program. Since 1989, she has continuously taught English to young students at her daughters' schools, to lawyers negotiating, and to clients testifying in English. Now retired, she continues to teach students of all ages, from 10 to 70, with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience. Her passion, energy, and insatiable curiosity are contagious. She encourages her students "to listen to their inner child to discover who they are." She knows how to activate that unique strength within each of your children that fosters the development of their individual qualities of creativity, innovation, and self-improvement. At EHL, she was appreciated by students for her innovative methods and her ability to lead her classes of 200 in a way that ensured everyone actively participated while having fun, thus developing their communication, leadership, team management, and positive feedback skills.
A very playful person, Carla has a great sense of humor and will help your children learn English through laughter and games, acquire teamwork skills, and develop a sense of compromise. She will instill in them the human values of altruism, tolerance, and respect for themselves and others. Furthermore, she will teach them never to lose sight of the fact that they have everything within themselves to achieve their wildest dreams, provided they listen to their inner child, who knows which path to take. Carla has two daughters and four grandchildren aged from 8 months to 13 years. She enjoys travelling, reading, hiking, playing the piano, cooking and playing board games with friends, undoubtedly indelible remnants of her American childhood.

Veronica

AMI Montessori Assistant 3–6 | Montessori Educator 6–12 in training
Veronica Vazquez Abella is a dedicated Montessori educator, currently an AMI Montessori assistant working with children aged 3 to 6. She develops a daily, attentive approach that respects each child's individual pace, within a structured, caring, and stimulating environment.
Currently completing her Montessori 6-12 teacher training, Veronica draws on a wealth of experience in Montessori environments, where she worked as an assistant for children aged 3-6 and 6-12, and then as a substitute teacher. These experiences have allowed her to develop strong skills in observation, classroom management, and individualized child support.
She pays particular attention to the quality of the prepared environment, the appropriateness of presentations, and the support of autonomy. Her practice is also informed by tools such as nonviolent communication (NVC), conflict resolution, and activities that promote children's emotional development, concentration, and well-being.
With a collaborative spirit and a strong pedagogical sensibility, Veronica is fully committed to the atmosphere and teamwork. Her initial background in translation and interpreting also demonstrates her cultural openness and her ability to thrive in international environments.
Through her commitment, kindness and sense of observation, Veronica actively contributes to creating a safe and harmonious environment, conducive to the growth and overall development of each child.
