An environment conducive to the child's discovery and learning

The Grange Explorers, a Montessori pedagogy school, welcomes children from 3 to 6 years old in a caring, respectful and stimulating environment in the heart of Eaux-Vives, a few steps away from the Grange park, with an experienced AMI-qualified teaching team. In our school, many activities, such as theatre, gymnastics, and music, are organized very often in the open air, and the children learn to cohabit with nature, a natural environment that is beneficial to their development.

The school is affiliated with the International Montessori Association (AMI) and its educational program is in line with the Plan d'Etude Roman (PER), allowing the child to have all the necessary skills for a successful entry into the 3P level. For more information, visit the Département de l'instruction publique (DIP) website.

" There's no description, no image in any book that can replace the sight of real trees and all the life to be found around them in a real forest. Something emanates from those trees which speak to the soul, something no book or museum can give."

Our approach is guided by Montessori philosophy

A capital Montessori education responds to each child's individual needs and interests, providing pathways for growth in language, music, maths, science, physical coordination and art. They also learn a wide range of practical life skills, from gardening and cooking to caring for their environment and social skills based on grace and courtesy.

The world is changing at a dizzying pace and not always in the direction we desire. In a world where values are often questioned and put to the test, it is more important than ever to provide our children with a solid foundation of principles to help them envision a better future. With our Montessori school project initiative, we believe that education is the key to building a better world. We believe that respect, practical learning, and returning to nature are strong values that children should learn from a young age, as well as the importance of independence and cooperation. Our school offers a nurturing and secure environment where children can learn at their own pace and where their intellectual, emotional, and social development is considered at every step of their journey.

We believe that diversity is a significant value, as it allows children to understand and respect different perspectives and ways of life. It also helps them strengthen their own identity and self-esteem. In our school, children are encouraged to learn from one another, celebrate their differences, and develop a sense of inclusion and mutual respect while respecting local customary values.

We are convinced that our Montessori education approach can help shape a better future for our children and future generations by teaching them the importance of returning to the basics and respecting others. Our primary mission is to ensure, throughout our 3-year curriculum, that each child acquires basic skills such as reading, writing, mathematics, and geography, as well as knowledge of botany, music, and sensory development, using our Montessori pedagogical approach and offering nature-related activities.

Inspired by transparency, guided by love, nurtured by Montessori pedagogy and in harmony with nature: these are our priorities, our values.

Upcoming School Events

family-picnic.jpg

A pillar of well-being, friendship contributes to a child's development. Friends' solid and intimate bond with each other contributes to the child's self-confidence, joy and personal balance.

Our Montessori School regularly publishes events allowing parents and their children to meet and strengthen their ties to the same GE community.

Events organized by parents in the GE community can also be linked in this space: parent/child barbecue, picnic, etc.

All together for the happiness of your children
